OU UCGIS

The University of Oklahoma is a long-time member of the University Consortium for Geographic Information Science (UCGIS), a nonprofit organization of universities and other institutions dedicated to advancing understang in GIScience. The mission of UCGIS is to serve as an effective, unified voice for the geographic information science research community, foster multidisciplinary research and education and promote the informed and responsible use of geographic information science and geographic analysis for the benefit of society. CSA and Geoinformatics at OU contribute to the mission of UCGIS by supporting GIScience teaching and research efforts across campus and practicing multidiscipinary approaches to research and education. Dr. May Yuan is the lead delegate to UCGIS for OU and also seves a president elect for the organization.
